Dr. Lewis received his undergraduate degree in human biology from CSU Sacramento and completed his doctorate studies at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. He spent his first three years of practice as a captain in the Army stationed at Ireland Army Community Hospital Ft Knox, Kentucky. After completing his active-duty assignment, he returned to the Northwest, where he practiced for the next 23 years. He spent of those 13 years working for a surgeon providing post-op care to cataract and laser surgery patients. Dr. Lewis was also an adjunct professor for the University of Indiana and Pacific University. In 2017, Dr. Lewis and his wife moved to the beautiful state of Nevada. He enjoys providing primary care to all his patients, whether they are 5 or 105. He also has experience in more acute issues such as ocular disease, foreign body removal, and ocular injury management.
His interests include repairing and restoring older cars, woodworking, and stain glass projects, and traveling with his wife.
